I finally got the courage up to buy one of these units as the first step into thermal. It arrived fine and very well packed after its long journey from Deception Bay and I got straight into using it. A little bit fiddly to start and to learn the icons but tried to practice a feature each time and able to pick out rabbits n a golf course in pitch darkness. But it is the larger animals that it really works on and kangaroos hiding behind trees just lit up. Hot rocks also give off the same signature and that takes learning and trying different filters. Battery life is a bit hit and miss I think so a second battery seems to be an important follow up purchase. Looking forward to chasing deer as soon as lockdown lifts!
