Vortex Diamondback HD 12x50.
There's no shop nearby where I can road test a variety of binoculars. So I read lots of online reviews, watched plenty of youtube videos. I decided on Vortex as the brand and now zero'd in on specs. I preferred more power than peripheral. I decided to focus (no pun) on the 12x50 based on my budget. I found Skippersmate and decided to call for more info. I was expecting to be offshored to someone who's sitting in front of a monitor with Chrome open and ready to search out answers to my questions (typical). I was shocked - the owner answered my call, gave me the answers and checked stock. This gave me the final incentive and I haven't looked back. Great service, good communication, fast shipping (3 days) and what a product! I'm so delighted to say, this is a great, small Australian business providing worldclass products. I'll be back.
