Used it quite a bit before reviewing. Have ranged a horse out to 330 yards. A large dense tree to 775 yards, and large white buildings out to 833 yards, so I'd presume now it is capable of doing as stated. One problem is that it has a clear bias towards dark targets, and I will not count on it to range a dark colored target, however large, beyond 550 yards. Another drawback is the black colored reticle, which is hard to see in low light conditions. Apart from these drawbacks though, it is capable of achieving much and is a good purchase for a beginner.
