Wherever you are at sea or on land, the rescueME PLB1 provides the reassurance that emergency services can be alerted by the press of a button.

The rescueMe PLB1 can be operated with a single hand in even the most challenging situations. A simple spring loaded flap covers the activation button preventing inadvertent use.

rescueME PLB1 works with the only officially recognised worldwide dedicated search and rescue satellite network (operated by Cospas Sarsat). As this is funded by governments there are NO CHARGES to use this service.

When activated the rescueME PLB1 transmits your position and your ID to a Rescue Coordination Center via satellite link. Rescue services are promptly notified of your emergency and regularly advised of your current location.

    Don't know why in this day and age we still have people that don't plan for the possibility of needing help in remote inaccessible areas, simple and cheap solution purchase a PLB, one of the cheapest insurance policies to have, compact and easily carried without even being aware its being worn, make that weekend adventure a peaceful event knowing should the worst happen there is an easy way to get help. Even experienced people can get into trouble, carrying one of these gives peace of mind for those adventuring by themselves.

    This Ocean Signal rescueME 406MHz GPS PLB1 Locator Beacon is the second one I've purchased first for myself and the second for my Son as we are both keen hunters and go into remote parts of the South Island its good to know we have some security in the form of the Ocean Signal rescueME 406MHz GPS PLB1 Locator Beacon on hand Its small and unobtrusive in its pouch on your knife belt well recommended.

    I have purchased 3 of these for the family. The greatest features are the light weight and compact design. Ideal for the high country hiking and hunting we do in the alpine New Zealand country. Fortunately we have not needed to activate any of them. I also carry mine in my vehicle from time to time in case of road accidents.

    I purchased this for stand up paddling, kite-surfing, sea-kayaking and hiking trips. It is small, compact and lightweight enough to fit in my hand, easily slip into a backpack or attach to a PFD or harness. The beacon appears to be well made and in test mode, it is easy to use. I hope I will never have to use it. Skippersmate service was fantastic. The product was delivered promptly and I would highly recommend them as a retailer.
